Surf forecast, what's on, what to skip. In your inbox before 8am every Monday.
Thursday and Friday are the standout days this week. Clean offshore easterlies mid-week give way to a building swell that peaks on Friday at head-to-overhead. It's October, so wear a 4/3 minimum.
Beginners – La Sud: Wednesday is your window. Waist-to-shoulder sets, light offshore wind, and the most manageable conditions of the week. Monday and Tuesday are onshore or cross-shore and not worth it. Stay out of the water Thursday onwards – it's getting too big and too powerful for La Sud.
Intermediate – La Centrale: Thursday is the pick. Shoulder-to-head sets with a clean east offshore and a 10-second period giving them some shape. High tide is at 09:45, so aim for the two hours either side of low tide at 15:57 for the better banks. Friday goes onshore and messy.
Experienced – La Gravière / Les Estagnots: Friday is the one. Head-to-overhead sets at 2m, 10-second period, NW swell direction – exactly what La Gravière wants. Wind is cross-shore from the north, which isn't ideal, but the size and period make it worth it. Saturday (day 7, best-guess territory) looks to ease back to shoulder-to-head with a NNE cross-shore – a reasonable backup if Friday doesn't come together.
Thursday standout: high tide 09:45 and 22:10 · east offshore, light-to-moderate · 4/3 recommended · water quality: off-season, omitted

Warm and dry through Thursday, with Wednesday and Thursday pushing close to 28°C — genuinely good beach weather for mid-October. A front arrives Friday and drops temperatures sharply by the weekend, so pack a proper layer if you're staying through. Evenings will need it all week regardless.
No VO or VOSTFR screenings confirmed this week. Everything showing is in French, either dubbed or French-language productions.
If your French is comfortable:
Worth checking the Le Rex listings directly as the week progresses — the full schedule sometimes fills in after Monday.
Next up: rock night at Salle des fêtes de Seyresse (Karkara, Duel, TSF), Thursday 22 October, €10.

This week: La Bohème, lake-side, for dinner. Order anything off the daily blackboard and let the kitchen decide what's good. Smart-casual, locals' pick, the kind of place that fills up quietly and stays full. Around €30–50 a head, and booking is essential on weekends.
