Surf forecast, what's on, what to skip. In your inbox before 8am every Monday.
Friday's the standout. A swell pulse pushes wave heights up to 4–5m, and even if the wind isn't offshore, it's light enough to keep things manageable. The first half of the week is small and onshore throughout, so don't rush to the beach before Thursday. No water temp data this week; August in the Bay of Biscay, so you're fine in a shorty or boardshorts.
Beginners (La Sud): Monday through Thursday are your days. Knee-to-thigh waves with a light onshore breeze, nothing scary. Friday and Saturday are too big for La Sud. Stick to the early morning sessions before the sea breeze builds.
Intermediate (La Centrale): Skip Monday to Thursday unless you're happy with small, onshore slop. Saturday looks more interesting: waist-to-shoulder sets, cross-shore northerly wind, high tide at 13:13. Manageable if you time it around the tide.
Experienced (La Gravière / Les Estagnots): Friday is the session. Chest-to-head sets, 4m on the bigger ones, light northerly cross-shore. Not perfect, but it's the only real swell of the week. High tide is at 11:40, so get in early. Saturday drops back to 3–4m with a similar northerly wind — still worth it if Friday washes you out.
Friday standout · High tide 11:40 · Wind: light northerly cross-shore · Swell: 4–5m NW

Warm and dry through Thursday, with a proper drop Friday when rain moves in and temperatures fall to the low 20s. The weekend looks unsettled, so front-load your beach time early in the week. Bring a layer for Friday evening onwards.
No version data in the listings this week, so it's hard to say what's VO and what's VF. Worth checking the venue links before you go.
