Surf forecast, what's on, what to skip. In your inbox before 8am every Monday.
Monday's the pick of the week. Clean offshore conditions, thigh-to-waist sets, and the only real window before onshore winds take over for most of the middle stretch. It's a small, punchy week overall — nothing to get excited about if you're chasing size, but perfectly surfable if you manage the tides. No water temp data this week; it's July, so a 3/2 or a shorty depending on how you run.
Beginners: La Sud is your spot all week. Monday morning is the best window — small, clean, and forgiving. Wednesday through Friday gets a bit choppy with onshore winds, so pick the early mornings or sit those days out.
Intermediate: La Centrale on Monday is worth a look. 2m sets with a light SE offshore, high tide at 09:26 — best session in the two hours either side as the tide drops. Tuesday drops off to knee-to-thigh, barely worth the wax. Friday's cross-shore wind makes it scrappy.
Experienced: La Gravière won't fire this week. The swell period is too short (4–5 seconds) to produce anything worth paddling out for. Les Estagnots on Monday is your best bet — same offshore, slightly more shape than Gravière on a small swell. Saturday's data is incomplete on swell period; treat it as a bonus if you're around.
Monday high tide: 09:26 · Wind: light SSE offshore · Swell: 2m sets, short period, not maxing

Monday's the scorcher: nearly 40°C, so get on the beach early and be off the sand by midday. The rest of the week settles into the high 20s with a bit of cloud cover and a light sea breeze keeping things bearable. No rain in sight, but bring sun cream you'll actually use.
No version data came back from the scraper this week, so it's not possible to confirm which films are VO. Treat everything below as likely VF unless the venue listing says otherwise — worth checking the links before you go.
Only Monday showtimes are confirmed in the data. Full week schedule at hossegor.cinemas-legrandclub.fr.
Nothing on at Le Tube this week, and the venue programme didn't return a season list either. Check Le Tube's listings directly if you're set on a gig.

The scraper only returned one property this week, so that's what you're getting. No padding.
La Gravière apartment · beach-adjacent · sleeps 4 · €1,000 / week · Locations Vacances Hossegor
Ground floor of a traditional Basco-Landais villa, close enough to La Gravière that you'll hear the ocean at night. Fine for two couples or a small family. At €1,000 a week in July, it's one of the more reasonable options near the beach right now.
Only one property returned from the agency feed this week. More options next issue.
This week: Bar de la Poste for lunch. Order the gambas and sit outside on the terrace. It gets busy from noon, so arrive early or book ahead. Around €20–25 a head.
Les Halles is open daily mornings, best for breakfast, oysters, and charcuterie.
