Surf forecast, what's on, what to skip. In your inbox before 8am every Monday.
[data unavailable this week]
Forecast data for 18–24 May 2026 didn't come through. All seven days returned nulls across wave height, wind, and tides. Rather than guess, we're leaving this blank and will update when the data's back.
Check Magicseaweed or Windguru directly for the week's conditions before heading to the beach.
The email lands before 8am every Monday. One issue, then quiet until next week.
Warm and dry through Thursday, then it peaks hard on Friday — 37°C mid-week is genuinely hot for May, so get on the beach early before the afternoon heat builds. Thunderstorms likely Sunday, but the rest of the week stays clear. Sun cream over a jacket this week.
Le Rex listings didn't return this week. Check the programme directly for what's showing and when.
Nothing confirmed at Le Tube for the week of 18–24 May. The season programme has some decent names coming up, though: Massive Attack, The Cure, Jul, Skip The Use, La Maison Tellier, and a few others. Dates aren't locked in yet. Check the full programme for when things firm up.
Nothing surf-specific lands in the 18–24 May window this week. The We Are Family Festival runs 22–24 May in Hossegor but it's a general music and arts event across various venues, not surf culture, so it belongs in Block 6 if anywhere.
Worth flagging ahead: the Shaw and Partners World Ocean Series – Hossegor Classic is listed for 4 July. No further details are public yet, but it's one to watch if you're planning a summer trip.
[no surf culture events this week]
Louis Lopez exhibition, Villa Seren – running until 31 May, open daily. Local artist, worth a look if you're passing through the centre.
We Are Family Festival, 22–24 May – three days across various spots in and around Hossegor. Eclectic programme, independently organised. Details thin on the ground but worth checking their own channels if that kind of thing's your bag.
Les Halles Gourmandes, Friday 22 May, 18h–22h30 – the weekly evening food market is back for the season. Good spot for a wander and something to eat before the night gets going.
Pelote basque tournament, Soorts-Hossegor trinquet – running through to 2 July. Drop in on a match if you've never seen it. Fast, loud, and nothing like what you'd expect.
